Job Overview
We are currently seeking safe and professional asphalt field technicians interns to join our team. Work opportunities include assisting asphalt field technicians at the asphalt plants and on project sites.
Responsibilities
• Ensure proper mix designs are delivered to the job site.
• Monitor temperature of delivered asphalt to ensure it meets requirements.
• Use electric impedance gauge to establish optimal rolling patterns.
• Use electric impedance gauge to perform random density checks throughout jobs.
• Coordinate with lab technicians to discuss any findings or concerns with mixes.
• Complete all necessary paperwork required for each job and retain a copy for records.
• Take asphalt samples when required.
• Ensure inspectors receive all required paperwork before leaving job sites.
Requirements
• Ability to learn and apply PennDOT specifications.
• Prepare reports and documents.
• Use a computer or other office related equipment/tools.
• Good organizational and motivational skills.
• Good interpersonal verbal and written communications skills.
• Obtain/maintain any company mandated training.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in construction projects preferred but not required.
