Pacifica Christian High School – Crossing Guard (Full-Time)
Pacifica Christian High School is seeking a reliable and mission-aligned Crossing Guard to help students, families, and staff cross safely at intersections adjacent to our Santa Monica campus, and to support a safe, welcoming campus throughout the school day.

Position Overview
The Crossing Guard is responsible for safely directing student and pedestrian traffic at assigned crosswalks near campus during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal, and for providing general campus supervision and safety support during the school day. This role is highly visible and sets the tone for the school day — ideal candidates are dependable, punctual, attentive to their surroundings, and enjoy greeting high school students and families in a positive and professional manner.
Schedule
• Monday–Friday, full-time (approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Morning crossing post during student arrival
• Mid-day campus supervision and safety duties (entry point monitoring, visitor check-in support, lunch and passing-period presence, parking lot and perimeter walk-throughs)
• Afternoon crossing post during dismissal
Note: Exact post locations, mid-day assignments, and shift times will be finalized based on campus arrival and dismissal schedules.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to stand, walk, and remain alert outdoors for extended periods, in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic on busy streets
• Clear verbal communication and good hearing and vision (corrected is acceptable)
• Consistent, punctual, and reliable
• Ability to interact positively with students, families, staff, and neighbors
• Prior crossing guard, campus supervision, or public safety experience preferred
• Must personally embrace the mission and vision of Pacifica Christian High School
Employment Requirements
• Current TB Test
• Live Scan DOJ Background Check
• CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided)
• Crossing Guard / Traffic Safety Training (provided)
• Concussion Training (provided)
• High-visibility vest, stop paddle, and other safety equipment provided by the school
$20-$25 per hour
