Shift hours 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective day to day operations in all production and warehouse activities.
Essential Duties:
Customer/Vendor Relationships
• Daily contact with customers who come to receive material and freight company personnel who are delivering goods and services.
• Assist and respond to requests from testing and verification agencies such as NAHB and UL.
Inventory and Orders
• Responsible for the timely and accurate loading and unloading of trucks; responsible for the timely and efficient picking, loading and shipment of orders; maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse and production area throughout the day; accurately report all materials shipped including back orders; reporting any defective, damaged or incorrectly shipped materials to office personnel.
Production
• Ensure all production paperwork is properly filled out and returned in a timely manner after production is completed, accurately reporting all materials used and scrapped.
• Checking with appropriate supervisor or production coordinator prior to shutting down equipment for the day in case of schedule changes.
• Operating production equipment as assigned according to published guidelines with emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.
Other Duties
• Compliance with all aspects of the quality assurance program.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for warehouse and production equipment.
• Generate suggestions to reduce costs, waste, and to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the production and warehouse operation.
• Participate in periodic physical counts.
• Manage resources efficiently and responsibly in the best interests of the company.
• Maintenance of tools, equipment, grounds and company delivery vehicles.
• Accurately clocking in and out of correct work project to ensure proper pay and scheduling activities are performed.
Qualifications Required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
• Experience (years/type): Minimum of six months of warehouse or production experience desired.
Demonstrated Skills and Abilities
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently with co-employees, managers, customers, and third parties.
• Ability to ready and communicate effectively with the team.
• Ability to handle stress and pressure while meeting production deadlines.
• Ability to comply with applicable company work and safety rules, as well as government regulations.
• Ability to handle a variety of different assignments efficiently, flexibly, and cooperatively.
• Good reading and math skills.
Essential Physical Qualifications and Demands
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching up to 33% of work time.
Handling, talking, hearing, visual perception 66% or more of work time.
Lifting, pushing, pulling, moving up to 40 lbs. occasionally; 10-20 lbs. frequently.
Exposure to Environmental Conditions
Exposure to extreme heat, cold, wet, or humid conditions up to 33% of work time.
Exposure to noise intensity moderate on infrequent occasions.
