Job Summary:
· Safely and professionally drive management staff to and from assigned destinations.
· Ensure timely, efficient, and secure transportation while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Safely transport management staff to meetings, appointments, events, airports, and other assigned destinations in a timely and professional manner.
· Plan the most efficient routes by considering traffic conditions, weather, road closures, and schedules to ensure punctuality.
· Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
· Ensure assigned vehicles are always clean, roadworthy, and comfortable for passengers. This includes regular cleaning, fueling, routine inspections, servicing, repairs, and ensuring insurance, vehicle licences, and other required documentation remain current.
· Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, or maintenance requirements.
· Assist management staff with loading and unloading luggage, documents, or other work-related items as required.
· Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude when interacting with management staff, visitors, clients, and other stakeholders, while ensuring confidentiality of all conversations and information encountered in the course of duty.
· Provide timely updates to passengers regarding arrival times, delays, traffic conditions, or any changes that may affect scheduled journeys.
· Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and official trips as required.
· Coordinate with approved service providers to ensure timely servicing, maintenance, and repairs of assigned vehicles.
· Immediately report accidents, traffic violations, vehicle breakdowns, or any incidents affecting the safe operation of the vehicle.
· Maintain a good working knowledge of road networks, traffic patterns, and safe driving practices.
· Undertake any other duties reasonably assigned to support the transportation needs of management and the organisation.
· Act as a professional ambassador of the organisation by demonstrating integrity, discretion, reliability, and excellent customer service at all times.
Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:
· Excellent driving skills and a minimum of 5 year’s experience of driving in Nigeria.
· GCE or general education degree; with the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
· Ability to operate different cars and all equipment necessary to perform the job.
· Physical ability to sit for extended periods to drive.
· Ability to work varied hours/days, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
· Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and First Aid.
· Clean (points/penalties/ban free) current and valid driving license.
· Clear verbal communicator with excellent telephone manners.
· An outstanding team player with excellent attention to detail at all times.
· Able to manage own time and take personal responsibility for own work and actions.
· Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Location:
· Lagos, Nigeria; including other locations as required.
Office Hours:
· 50 hours per week, Mondays to Saturdays.
