Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Earthworks Coordinator to join our team in Guyana at the Oko West Mine Site.
• Coordinate and monitor earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, embankment construction, and roadworks, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Liaise with engineering, survey, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure earthworks are executed efficiently and in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, material quantities, and site progress, identifying and resolving field issues to minimize delays and optimize productivity.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all earthworks activities comply with company HSE policies, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and/or relevant experience in the construction mining industry.
Relevant experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience coordinating earthworks in gold mining construction projects. Additional skills: Strong understanding of earthworks construction methods, grading, drainage, and geotechnical principles; ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
Salary Range: Negotiable.
Employment Type: Temporary contract for the duration of the construction.
Working Hours: Rotation schedule: 22 of work followed by 20 days off.
