We are seeking an experienced APU Overhaul Specialist to play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our new Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) overhaul capability within our Engine Workshop. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled aviation professional to combine technical expertise with project implementation, helping to build a world-class overhaul facility while performing hands-on maintenance in a regulated Part 145 environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establishing and implementing a compliant APU overhaul facility within the Engine Workshop.
• Planning workshop layout, tooling, equipment, workflow, and facility requirements.
• Identifying and coordinating the procurement of specialized tooling, technical data, and workshop resources.
• Managing the implementation of the overhaul capability, including project planning, timelines, milestones, and progress reporting.
• Performing complete APU overhaul activities, including inspection, disassembly, repair, reassembly, testing, and certification.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with SACAA regulations, OEM requirements, approved maintenance data, and company procedures.
• Issuing SACAA Release Certificates (within approval scope) and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Supporting internal and external audits while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance workshop efficiency, capability, and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
• Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or equivalent relevant aviation certification.
• Proven experience within an APU, engine, or aircraft component overhaul environment.
• Experience establishing workshop capabilities or leading technical implementation projects will be highly advantageous.
• SACAA authorization or certification would be beneficial.
Knowledge & Skills
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft engine components, particularly V2500 systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of APU systems, overhaul processes, and testing procedures.
• Sound understanding of SACAA regulatory requirements and Part 145 maintenance environments.
• Project planning and implementation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while leading technical initiatives and driving continuous improvement.

• Technical Expertise & Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrates advanced knowledge of APU overhaul, engine components, OEM maintenance requirements, and SACAA Part 145 regulations while consistently producing compliant, airworthy work.

• Quality & Attention to Detail: Maintains exceptional accuracy in inspection, overhaul, testing, certification, and documentation while ensuring adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Initiative & Technical Leadership: Works independently, takes ownership of technical initiatives, drives process improvements, and provides guidance and expertise to support the development of the APU overhaul capability.
