About this role

ABOUT EXECUTIVE OPTION

Executive Option, LLC is a veteran- and minority-owned consulting firm that helps public- and private-sector organizations modernize enterprise systems, recover complex programs, strengthen operating models, manage technology risk, and translate strategy into measurable execution.

Our work spans ERP, HCM, payroll, financials, supply chain, enterprise performance management, data, cybersecurity, organizational change, program governance, and executive advisory services.

POSITION SUMMARY

Executive Option is seeking a highly capable, client-facing consultant who can independently lead discovery, process analysis, requirements development, and executive-ready deliverables across complex enterprise-transformation initiatives.

This is a permanent consulting role with an enterprise-wide mandate. It is not limited to one client, functional area, or software platform.

The successful candidate will operate between business leaders, functional teams, and technology stakeholders. The individual must be able to understand how work is performed today, identify structural and system-related gaps, define practical future-state requirements, and help guide clients through assessments, selections, implementations, recoveries, and optimization efforts.

IMMEDIATE DEPLOYMENT PRIORITY

The role may initially support a time-sensitive public-sector HCM, payroll, timekeeping, and workforce-technology assessment. Direct experience in HCM, payroll, or workforce transformation is important, while the permanent role will extend across Executive Option’s broader ERP and enterprise-transformation portfolio.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Independently lead structured interviews, workshops, analysis sessions, and validation meetings with business and technology stakeholders.

• Convert complex operational input into accurate process maps, business requirements, traceability records, gap analyses, and actionable recommendations.

• Produce polished, defensible client deliverables that require limited rework and are appropriate for executive, procurement, and implementation audiences.

• Create leverage for engagement leadership by owning substantive day-to-day delivery, follow-up, documentation, and cross-workstream coordination.

• Build reusable Executive Option methods, templates, accelerators, and knowledge assets that improve future delivery and proposal quality.

• Earn client trust, identify practical follow-on needs, and contribute responsibly to account growth without compromising delivery objectivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Delivery and Business Transformation

• Lead or support current-state assessments, operating-model reviews, software selections, implementation-readiness efforts, ERP implementations, program recoveries, and post-go-live optimization initiatives.

• Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, working sessions, playback meetings, and requirements-validation sessions.

• Analyze end-to-end processes, organizational handoffs, business rules, controls, data dependencies, systems, pain points, and manual workarounds.

• Develop future-state process recommendations that balance operational needs, policy constraints, technology capabilities, controls, user experience, and implementation feasibility.

• Translate stakeholder needs into clear functional, reporting, workflow, integration, data, security, compliance, and nonfunctional requirements.

• Maintain traceability from source evidence and stakeholder input through requirements, priorities, findings, recommendations, and implementation decisions.

Enterprise Systems and Program Execution

• Contribute across ERP domains that may include HCM and payroll, financials, procurement, supply chain, projects, EPM, reporting, data, integrations, security, and controls.

• Support vendor-neutral evaluations, demonstration scripts, scoring models, fit-gap analysis, implementation estimates, and selection recommendations.

• Partner with functional leads, solution architects, data specialists, security professionals, change leaders, project managers, and client subject-matter experts.

• Support testing strategy, scenario development, data validation, readiness assessments, issue resolution, cutover planning, and stabilization when assigned to implementation work.

• Identify delivery risks, unresolved decisions, dependencies, scope concerns, and quality issues early; communicate them clearly and recommend corrective action.

• Manage assigned work to agreed scope, schedule, quality, documentation, and confidentiality standards.

Consulting, Growth, and Practice Development

• Prepare executive briefings, assessments, roadmaps, presentations, status materials, decision papers, and client-ready work products.

• Support proposals, statements of work, estimates, staffing models, interview preparation, and client presentations.

• Identify adjacent client needs and communicate qualified opportunities to engagement leadership while preserving client trust and professional independence.

• Develop and improve reusable process libraries, requirements frameworks, assessment tools, templates, quality checklists, and delivery playbooks.

• Coach analysts and project team members, provide constructive review of work products, and model disciplined consulting practices.

• Represent Executive Option professionally with clients, partners, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in business transformation, enterprise systems, ERP or HCM consulting, business analysis, process improvement, or technology-enabled operating-model change.

• At least three years in a client-facing consulting or equivalent advisory role with responsibility for independently producing and presenting client deliverables.

• Demonstrated experience leading discovery, process mapping, requirements elicitation, gap analysis, validation, and stakeholder facilitation for complex initiatives.

• Direct experience with HCM, payroll, timekeeping, or workforce transformation, together with exposure to at least one additional enterprise domain such as financials, procurement, supply chain, EPM, data, integrations, or security and controls.

• Experience supporting at least two stages of the enterprise-system lifecycle, such as assessment, selection, design, implementation, testing, deployment, stabilization, recovery, or optimization.

• Strong business writing and analytical skills, including the ability to organize ambiguous information into concise, accurate, executive-ready work products.

• Ability to work effectively with executives, managers, operational teams, technical teams, vendors, and third-party delivery partners.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and practical experience with process-mapping, requirements-management, collaboration, presentation, and project-delivery tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, public administration, human resources, finance, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent directly relevant experience may be considered.

• Ability to work in the United States and satisfy background, confidentiality, security, or client-access requirements applicable to assigned engagements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Public-sector, education, government, regulated-industry, unionized-workforce, or other complex multi-stakeholder experience.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, UKG, Infor, Tyler, or comparable enterprise systems.

• Experience supporting competitive procurements, RFP development, vendor demonstrations, evaluation governance, or contract-transition readiness.

• Experience with distressed-program assessment, remediation, implementation recovery, or post-go-live stabilization.

• Working knowledge of data conversion, integrations, identity and access, segregation of duties, reporting, cybersecurity, change management, or implementation controls.

• Relevant certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, SHRM, CPP, or an enterprise-platform credential.

• Graduate degree in a relevant discipline.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Consistently high-quality, accurate, timely, and client-ready deliverables.

• Strong client feedback, professional judgment, responsiveness, and dependable ownership of commitments.

• Productive billable utilization consistent with role expectations and available project demand.

• Effective management of scope, risks, decisions, dependencies, and stakeholder follow-up within assigned work.

• Meaningful contribution to proposals, account development, reusable methods, team development, and Executive Option’s reputation in the market.

WORK ARRANGEMENT AND TRAVEL

Location: Candidates based in Southern Nevada are strongly preferred. The role is expected to operate in a hybrid model combining remote work, Executive Option collaboration, and on-site client delivery as required.

Travel: Ability to travel up to approximately 30% is expected, with occasional higher travel during major workshops, deployment milestones, or client-critical periods.

Schedule: The role requires flexibility to support client deadlines and time zones. Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be necessary during critical milestones.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated base salary range is $115,000–$135,000 annually, with eligibility for a performance-based incentive targeted at up to 10%.

The final offer will reflect the candidate’s directly relevant experience, consulting independence, domain expertise, platform knowledge, public-sector background, location, and expected level of responsibility. Benefits and employment terms will be governed by Executive Option’s current plans and policies.

Submit a résumé and a concise statement describing the enterprise-transformation engagements you have personally led or materially delivered.

Candidates should be prepared to discuss their role in discovery, requirements, process redesign, client facilitation, deliverable development, and measurable project outcomes.
