Location: Field-based within an assigned territory (e.g., Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA)
Travel: Mostly local and regional travel within your territory for in-person prospecting and customer visits, with occasional overnight travel for team meetings, training, trade shows or cursory territory meetings
Account Executive
This isn't a desk job waiting on inbound leads. It's a hunter role built around a defined geographic territory, where you'll spend real time in the field. That means a mix of in-person outreach (site visits, in-market meetings, door-knocking) and virtual prospecting (calls, email, LinkedIn) to build relationships, earn trust locally, and grow your footprint.
Responsibilities:
• Own the full sales cycle within your territory, from qualified discovery through closed business
• Generate new business using Birdseye's 14-Day Outbound System: a mix of calls, email, LinkedIn, and in-person prospecting including door-knocking and site visits
• Build relationships with Operations, Facility, Safety, and owner/operator decision-makers at single-site and small multi-site operations
• Run in-person and virtual discovery meetings that surface facility-level challenges and quantify business impact
• Build and manage a territory plan that prioritizes coverage, call and visit cadence, and market penetration
• Deliver tailored proposals, product demonstrations, and business cases
• Design client solutions and hold the line on margin under Birdseye's No-Default-Premium standard, adjusting scope (labor hours, camera coverage) instead of discounting
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts
• Keep your pipeline and revenue forecast accurate
• Maintain CRM hygiene and opportunity progression in Zoho
• Work with Marketing, Account Management, and Enterprise Sales to align on territory strategy and support pipeline generation
• Flag, hand off, or co-sell with Enterprise Sales when an opportunity grows beyond a single site
• Travel throughout your territory for in-person prospecting, site visits, and customer meetings, with occasional travel for team training, conferences, or trade shows
What Success Looks Like:
Top performers consistently:
• Keep a steady pipeline of net-new opportunities within their territory
• Run a consistent multi-touch cadence across calls, email, LinkedIn, and in-person door-knocking
• Build trust quickly with local, on-the-ground decision-makers
• Win new single-site and small multi-site logos
• Run a disciplined sales process with accurate forecasting
• Sell on value and hold the line on margin instead of defaulting to discounts
• Work well with other teams, including flagging multi-site opportunities to Enterprise Sales, to deliver a great customer experience
Required Qualifications:
• Required:
• Proven success in outside, field, or territory-based B2B sales
• Demonstrated success prospecting and closing net-new business
• Comfortable with a mix of in-person (door-knocking, site visits) and virtual (phone, email, LinkedIn) prospecting
• Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through close
• Experience selling to operations, facility, or safety decision-makers, or small business owner/operators
• Strong consultative, value-based selling skills
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong time-management and territory-planning discipline
• CRM experience (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel daily throughout your territory
Preferred:
• Experience selling into logistics, transportation, supply chain, automotive, warehousing, ports, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Experience selling security technology, gate automation, video analytics, IoT, or related physical security or facility solutions
• Experience with structured outbound prospecting cadences or sales methodologies
• Existing roots in or familiarity with your assigned market

• Is naturally curious and asks thoughtful, business-focused questions
• Is disciplined with pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
• Takes ownership and accountability for results
• Is resilient and competitive, and thrives on a high-activity, high-touch cadence
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Knows when to bring in Enterprise Sales or other teams on a growing opportunity
