About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Toronto, reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the VP, Tax. This role is responsible for overseeing Canadian and U.S. tax compliance, managing tax provision work, supporting transfer pricing initiatives, and assisting with international due diligence and M&A tax matters. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in U.S. and international tax, the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, and experience driving tax strategy in a complex corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Provision & Accounting: Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions; prepare supporting schedules for current and deferred tax calculations; assess impact of tax law changes; support automation of tax provision processes. U.S. Tax Compliance: Manage federal, state, and local tax filings through external service providers; coordinate tax elections and research projects; maintain compliance and audit documentation. Transfer Pricing: Ensure intercompany arrangements comply with CRA, IRS, and OECD guidelines; assist with financial data compilation, reporting, audits, and benchmarking. International Due Diligence & M&A Support: Assist with tax due diligence for acquisitions; support onboarding of new entities; provide strategic planning for international expansions and entity restructuring. Ad Hoc Research & Tax Structuring: Monitor legislation and provide insights; offer guidance on cross-border transactions; support tax-efficient structuring and repatriation strategies. Who You Are

A technically strong tax professional with experience in both Canadian and U.S. corporate taxation, tax accounting, and international tax. Collaborative and able to work across multiple teams including finance, legal, and portfolio companies. Highly organized with strong analytical, research, and communication skills. Comfortable operating in a decentralized environment with multiple priorities. Qualifications

CPA or CA designation. 4+ years post-designation experience in corporate tax or public accounting with exposure to Canadian and U.S. tax matters; international tax experience is an asset. Expertise in tax compliance, tax provision, transfer pricing, and M&A tax structuring. Strong technical knowledge of Canadian and U.S. corporate tax rules and international tax regulations. Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and external advisors. Nice-to-Haves

Experience with international tax due diligence and cross-border planning. Familiarity with tax provision software and automation tools. Prior exposure to multinational portfolio operations. What’s In It For You
