About this role
Substitute Animal Science Aide Feed and water all farm animals according to established feeding schedules.
Observe animals daily for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and report concerns to the supervising teacher or farm manager.
Administer basic care as directed, including grooming, brushing, and assisting with routine health procedures.
Assist with moving, handling, and restraining animals safely when necessary. Clean animal pens and enclosures. Remove manure and soiled bedding and replace with fresh bedding.
Sweep and maintain a clean work area
Sanitize feeders, waterers, and equipment as scheduled.
Ensure all gates, latches, and animal enclosures are secure before leaving each area.
