TITLE: Career and Tech. - Electrical Trades Instructor TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Provide training to juniors and seniors with classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in electrical trades.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, school counselors, and others involved in the education of the student
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites
• Monitor student's academic progress including, but not limited to, progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills
• Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
• Keep current with changes and developments in electrical industries
• Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in electrical trades (commercial, residential, industrial). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 600 field hours in electrical trades Have or be eligible for Electrical/Electronic Technology 7-12 Career & Technical Education certification
