About this role
Schedule: 2026-2027 School Year (183 days) 7:15 am to 2:45 pm, which includes half hour unpaid lunch Pay Rate: In accordance with the Diman paraprofessional pay rate Requirements: Have obtained an associate (or higher) degree
• Have at least two years of post-secondary education that is equivalent to at least 48 credit hours from an accredited higher education institution
• Have met a rigorous standard on one of the formal Massachusetts-endorsed Assessments: Parapro or WorkKeys
• Experience working with high school-aged students
“Note: Title I paraprofessionals must also work under the direct supervision of a teacher. “ Job description, main functions, and or product developed:
• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials and DCAP, IEP, and/or 504 accommodations.
• Monitors student work and supervises curriculum-based testing.
• Tutors and assists students with makeup work.
• Reviews material with students in a one-on-one or in a small group setting.
• Ensures students follow school and class rules.
• Prepares for lessons by gathering materials or setting up equipment.
• Supervises students in class, between classes, and during lunch.
• Collaborates with colleagues.
• Attends faculty meetings and department meetings.
• Responds to all communication (email, phone, etc.) within 48 hours.
• Completes all school and district required paperwork.
• Actively participates in all school and district professional development activities.
• All other duties as assigned by the Director of Academics and College Pathways and/or the Assistant Superintendent-Principal.
