About this role
Required Qualifications:
• Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification (or eligibility for certification).
• Minimum of five years of successful public school experience, including at least three years of administrative leadership experience at the secondary level or an equivalent leadership role.
• Demonstrated success as an exceptional educator and instructional leader with a commitment to improving student achievement.
• Thorough knowledge of New York State Learning Standards, graduation requirements, assessment practices, and school improvement processes.
• Evidence of strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, develop, and evaluate staff while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and unquestioned personal and professional integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
• Successful administrative and/or teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Demonstrated instructional leadership with a proven ability to improve teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards, graduation requirements, assessments, and data-driven instructional practices.
