Job Description: Enfield Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a creative and inclusive environment where students can explore their artistic abilities and develop critical thinking skills through art. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum for students that aligns with state standards and district goals.

• Create lesson plans that incorporate best instructional practices, including student-centered learning, artistic storytelling, and multicultural art exploration.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students in hands-on art activities, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

• Integrate technology into art lessons to enhance students' learning experiences and prepare them for the digital world.

• Foster a classroom environment that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive of all students, promoting equity and inclusion.

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents/guardians, and the community to create opportunities for students to showcase their artwork and connect with authentic audiences.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in art education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field.

• Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Art Education.

• Experience teaching art to children.

• Strong knowledge of child development and instructional strategies for early childhood education.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
