About this role
Position Summary: Responsible for the preparation in a production kitchen for meals served to students and staff in accordance with USDA and local guidelines. Includes preparation of food, clean-up, and record-keeping. Assists with preparation, meal service, and clean-up procedures for nutritious and attractive meals served to students and adults according to USDA Child Nutrition program guidelines.
Position Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds. Basic math skills, including computer applications experience. Certification with the American Food Service Association at Level 1 within the first year of date of hire. Hours/Schedule: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm / 5 days per week Pay Rate: A-1-3 / $18.20 - $22.35/hour depending on experience.
