Stilwell Public Schools District Photographer & Videographer Communications Department Position Summary The District Photographer & Videographer serves as an asisstant visual storyteller for Stilwell Public Schools. This position is responsible for capturing the people, programs, achievements, and events that define our district through photography, videography, graphic design, and digital media. The successful candidate will help promote the district's mission by creating engaging visual content for social media, the district website, publications, and promotional materials. Reports To: Communications Director Essential Responsibilities ? Photograph district-wide events, student life, academics, fine arts, athletics, and special programs. ? Capture action photography for Grade School, Middle School, and High School athletic programs. ? Produce promotional videos, highlight reels, athletic hype videos, and district storytelling content. ? Film school programs, ceremonies, graduations, performances, and other district events. ? Design graphics for social media, websites, and district communications. ? Assist with managing and monitoring district social media platforms. ? Organize, edit, archive, and maintain digital photo and video libraries. ? Collaborate with administrators, coaches, teachers, and communication site leads to identify and promote positive stories throughout the district. ? Support district branding and communication initiatives through creative visual storytelling. Event Coverage This position requires a flexible schedule and includes evening and occasional weekend assignments. Coverage may include: ? Home athletic events ? Graduation and commencement activities ? Homecoming ? Senior Nights ? Awards ceremonies ? Open House/Meet the Teacher ? Fine Arts performances ? School programs and assemblies ? Community and district events ? Other events as assigned Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: ? Experience with professional photography and videography. ? Strong photo and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable software. ? Graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Gipper). ? Excellent storytelling, organizational, and communication skills. ? Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines. ? Experience covering athletics and live events is preferred. ? A professional portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, and design experience is required. Physical Requirements Ability to travel between district sites, lift and carry camera equipment, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and stand for extended periods during events.
