Substitute Teacher
• $110 Daily for regular substituting assignments
• Long term substituting assignments available when needed
• $110 per day for the first 10 days $130 per day starting on day 11 Only applies when substituting for a certified position Must be consecutive days in the same position
• Payday is on or before the 25th of each month
Job Goals: In order to ensure an orderly and effective instructional program in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the substitute teacher shall carry out the following performance tasks:
• Must have great computer skills!
• Be knowledgeable of, and uphold, general policies pertaining to teachers and students as specified in the District Policy Manual.
• Review with the principal, department head, or other appropriate people all plans and/or schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
• Carry out the responsibilities and duties of the regular classroom teacher to the best extent possible.
• Prepare a written summary about work completed at the end of each day and leave it for the regular classroom teacher to review.
• Remain in the assigned position until the contractual hours are met, up to 7.5 hours, excluding a 30-minute lunch.
• Act ethically in all aspects of the teaching role. Maintain and respect the confidentiality of student and school personnel information
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Terms of Employment: The substitute teacher shall be employed on a daily basis according to need.
