Position Summary The Multi Language Learner (MLL) Interventionist supports elementary students in developing English language proficiency and accessing grade-level academic content. Working collaboratively with the MLL Coordinator, interventionists, classroom teachers, and support staff, this role provides targeted language acquisition instruction and academic interventions through push-in and small-group support. The MLL Interventionist plays a key role in ensuring Multilanguage Learners at Granby Elementary experience inclusive, equitable, and effective instruction. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Support
• Provide targeted language acquisition instruction aligned with students' English language proficiency levels
• Deliver academic interventions that support literacy, math, and content-area learning for Multilanguage Learners
• Implement push-in support within general education classrooms to scaffold instruction and promote access to grade-level content
• Work with small groups or individual students as needed based on data and student needs
• Support students in developing academic vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
Collaboration & Planning
• Collaborate closely with the MLL Coordinator and other interventionists to plan instruction and align supports
• Partner with classroom teachers to co-plan, co-teach, and provide instructional strategies for Multi language Learners
• Participate in problem-solving meetings and contribute to intervention planning and progress monitoring
• Support inclusive practices that value students' linguistic and cultural assets
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
• Assist with administering and interpreting assessments and classroom-based data
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student response to intervention
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student growth
Professional Responsibilities
• Participate in professional development related to language acquisition, culturally responsive practices, and intervention strategies
• Communicate effectively with staff and families, as appropriate, regarding student progress and supports
• Uphold confidentiality and follow district and school policies
Qualifications Required
• Appropriate Colorado teaching license
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
Preferred
• CLD, ESL/ELL endorsement or certification
• Knowledge of second language acquisition and instructional strategies for Multi language Learners
• Experience providing academic interventions and/or push-in instructional support
• Familiarity with WIDA standards and language proficiency assessments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
