Job Summary: This position oversees and safeguards the organization's cybersecurity posture, including implementation and management of multi-factor authentication, disaster recovery planning, password security protocols, and data redundancy strategies. The role is responsible for managing and maintaining both physical and virtual systems and servers, as well as handling email administration and coordinating responses to social engineering threats. In addition, this position directs mobile device management, including the deployment, imaging, and allocation of staff and student devices, ensuring secure and efficient operations across the organization's technology environment. Major Responsibilities and Duties: This position plays a critical role in safeguarding, maintaining, and advancing the district's technology infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of systems, servers, and devices, while providing leadership in cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and process improvement initiatives. By combining technical expertise with strategic vision, this role supports operational continuity, optimizes resources, and drives innovation to meet the evolving needs of the district. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Research, analyzes, and develops proposals regarding selection of hardware, operating system, software, and technical tools.
• Aid in development and implementation of cybersecurity measures, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide vision and support for mobile device management.
• Provide supervision, training, and guidance for junior positions
• Coordinate, schedule, and perform server maintenance and management activities.
• Monitor server performance, storage and logs; and create and maintain documentation for servers.
• Collaborate to create and develop change and configuration management processes.
• Assist in the improvement of departmental processes to identify improvement areas, defining and managing process improvement projects. Ensures department processes are documented, communicated, and consistently adhered to.
• Future proof systems and information with innovation, recommendations, and thorough documentation.
• Perform regular system maintenance
• Perform eDiscovery for records requests and other investigative needs
• Assist in development and maintenance of district technical standards for computing systems along with infrastructure design
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, emails, and alerts or other communications regarding server and systems operations and/problems at any time
• Participate in RFP, procurement, and contracting processes for the selection and acquisition of technical products, goods and services, as necessary.
• Provide file server and VM support including configuration, authorization, and access, and information security
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to self-improvement by continually updating and acquiring skills and knowledge applicable to the role to allow continually growth both professionally and personally.
• Support projects and the ongoing application of technology, once implemented, through preparation of documentation.
• Lead development of technical standards, policies, and procedures that support district technology functions.
• Work with the director and networking engineer to secure systems.
• Maintain and renew digital certifications prior to expiration.
• Manage password changes at least twice each year or as insurance requires.
• Windows, Apple, and Chrome management including Active Directory and imaging.
• System and servers - patching, repair, maintenance, backup/restore, and upgrades.
• Electronic mail delivery and phishing response.
• Server and storage creation, repair, maintenance, redundancy, virtualization, and security.
• Participate in planning efforts to define the future technological and strategic direction for the district.
• Assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
• Manage life cycle of hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Additional Functions:
• Assist other technical team members with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assist other technical team members with the architecture, deployment and support of various applications and systems.
• Act as source of direction, coaching, training, and guidance of less experienced staff.
• Maintain skill sets as technologies and systems change.
• Continue to research and implement new technologies and industry best practices. Provide backup support to other positions in case of absence or work overload.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and customers at all organizational levels.

• A minimum of five years' experience in K12 environment leading integration projects.
• Experience delivering and integrating IT systems and Business technology projects.
• Experience troubleshooting advanced technical issues.
• Experience managing resources, time, and scope.
• Experience installing, configuring, managing Windows Server and Linux servers.
• Understands requirements for security, data privacy, and compliance.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or related field required.
• Certification in Project Management, Business Analysis, LEAN, and Agile preferred.
• Oregon Fingerprint and Criminal Background Check clearance.
• Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability.

EVALUATION Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Reynolds Administrative Agreement and Board Policy TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a 12-month position assigned to the classification of the Reynolds Administrator Agreement salary schedule for Administrative Professional/Supervisor II.
