**This requires travel between the District Office and Seven Oak Middle School.** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Criminal history clearance. 3. Demonstrated basic skills through a local academic assessment. 4. Demonstrated secretarial skills as evidenced by district skills assessment. HOURS: 8 hours per day Monday thru Friday 195 Days - August thru June START DATE/WAGES: August 26, 2026 $21.48 hr. - $28.27 hr. - Placement based on experience and per the negotiated LESPA contract. POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of skilled secretarial duties in support of a secondary school or district department supporting specialty program or service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinate all functions of a department or secondary school in a specialty program or service.
• Prepares documents, including memos, letters, reports, forms, etc. from dictation, rough draft, or by directive.
• Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.
• Receives telephone calls and serves as a receptionist, giving related information as necessary.
• Creates and maintains files and database systems information in areas of responsibility.
• Performs record keeping tasks as assigned.
• Operates computers, calculators, copy machines, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Assists parents and community members as needed.
• Attends training sessions and secretarial meetings as directed.
• Works harmoniously with others and communicates effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents, and staff.
• Works independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Operates a computer and views a computer screen for prolonged periods of time.
• Frequent and prolonged talking/hearing conversations.
