Qualifications for a DG Analyst
• Healthcare knowledge (15%) • familiarity with healthcare system (commercial and Medicare), terminologies and regulations.
• Data Mapping Skills (25%) • Experience in mapping data elements from source systems to target systems to ensure data integrity. • Ability to document mapping specifications (Field to Field) and (Value to Value) and transformation effectively. • Understand of data lineage and impact analysis for changes in date source. •
Lead medium sized data governance projects. Oversee data governance standards and documentation. Mentor junior team members. Collaborate with other departments.
• Analytical Skills (20%) • strong ability to analyze data and understand complex information. • Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
• Data Quality & Controls • Ability to define data quality checks, rules, and validation processes. • Familiarity with data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, validity).
• Technical Skills (15%) • Proficient in MS Excel for analysis. • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for writing queries to aggregate, select, and join tables, as well as identify data issues. • Familiarity with data governance/metadata tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Purview). • Experience with documentation and visualization tools (Visio, Power BI).
• Team Collaboration (20%) • Ability to participate in meetings, take notes, and develop action plans. • Work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Project Management (5%) • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) .
