Assistant Executive Officer (26270068)

The appointee is expected to provide administrative support to the Academic Affairs Section and the Undergraduate Studies Section.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Executive Officers and/or other members of the Section in the planning and provision of support to key areas of undergraduate programme administration, e.g. student enrolment, class scheduling, course registration, examinations, graduation, etc., and other student matters; • Process student applications concerning their studies, e.g. change of study programme, unit transfer, course exemption, leave of absence, official documents, etc.; • Provide support for committee meetings and activities/events organised by the Academic Registry; • Provide counter and hotline services; handle enquiries and complaints; and • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree, with one to two years of work experience; • Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and a strong sense of responsibility; • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and • Skilled in computing applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
