About this role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consults and give feedback on the daily activities of VOS coordinators, and their support staff. • Ensure alignment and adherence to the VOS specs and framework Ensures employees operate within its guidelines. • Lead the VOS steering committee. • Accountable for the administration and execution of policies and procedures. • Decisions have a direct impact on plant operations and customers. • Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers and peer groups at various management levels. • Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution. • Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence. • Leads/Accountable for facility VOS communications, education and trainings. • Leads site analysis including baseline of operations and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement. • Partner with the regional VOS leader to develop and deploy VOS strategy. • Accountable to the rhythm and rigor. • Right hand to Plant Manager. • Work with plant manager and Kaizen team leader to define/set appropriate target for improvement and measure progress to targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 5 plus years’ experience. • Six Sigma / Lean certifications (preferred) • Ability to coach, teach and lead leaders to develop continuous improvement strategies, influence decision making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the plant operations and functions. • 3 - 5 years or more of hands-on experience in the application of Lean/Six Sigma methods and way of thinking. • Strong leadership, organizational, project management and inter-personal skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills in local language and English. • Strong analytical skills, including the use of statistical modeling techniques, root cause analysis and other tools and methods typically deployed to drive operational improvements. • Strong experience in applying and coaching change management, behavior coaching and performance management methods. • Ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization to drive accountably and execution of VOS mindset and activities. • Previous experience leading teams through change management.
