FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Wound Care certified to work on a temporary assignment for one of our clients, a Level II Trauma Center located in Brooklyn, NY. Qualifications
• Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in healthcare. • Active NYS Registered Nurse license. • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) issued by the WOCNCB; or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) issued by the (WOCNCB); or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM); or Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO). • Experience with EPIC for the past six (6) months. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct wound, ostomy, and continence assessments; develop care plans and recommend treatments
• Review and document patient responses to wound and ostomy care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and make referrals as needed
• Educate patients and families on prevention and management of complications
• Assess patients at risk for pressure injuries and implement preventive measures
• Participate in quality improvement activities
• Provide culturally competent education to patients, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy
• Perform other assigned duties and float as needed
