About this role
The Applied R&D Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc. Integrates, verifies, tests, and modifies SW / HW / system components and capitalises on innovative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.
• Strong understanding on “IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be/etc) , Voip, SIP and related network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) embedded systems (drivers, firmware on Linux/RTOS(OpenWRT/PrplOS)), performance , statistics and Management protocols: OMCI, TR069/TR098/TR181, USP. • Good Understanding Qualcom/Mediatek/RealTek WiFi chipsets/solutions • Good understanding on new Wi-Fi System-on-Chips (SoCs) , drivers, integrate with hardware. • Well versed with debugging tools like ASAN,KSAN, Valgrind Memory Profiling Tool, GDB. • Understanding different SoC Architecture including 32 bit, 64bit and respective tool chains and able to collaborate with different Vendors to make the solution up and running.
You have:
• Bachelor or above, telecommunication, electronic engineering, computer science, or related major preferred with 5 to 10 years strong development & debugging understanding on C / C++ in multi process/ threaded environment with following skills. • Strong understanding on “IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be/etc) , Voip, SIP and related network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) embedded systems (drivers, firmware on Linux/RTOS(OpenWRT/PrplOS)), performance , statistics and Management protocols: OMCI, TR069/TR098/TR181, USP. • Good Understanding Qualcom/Mediatek/RealTek WiFi chipsets/solutions • Good understanding on new Wi-Fi System-on-Chips (SoCs) , drivers, integrate with hardware. It would be nice if you also had:
• Strong understanding on Linux , IPC techniques, user space and kernel space deep understanding and good understanding on network architecture is preferred • Understanding of IPV4/IPV6 addressing and TCP/IP and basic understanding of L2/L3 routing, Multicast/IPTV protocols • Working on GPON technologies is added advantage
