THE FIRM Ryan & Company is an established practice based in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, providing audit, accounting and tax advisory services. THE ROLE Reporting to the partners and senior staff, the Trainee Accountant will work primarily on accounts preparation and taxation, with supporting work in company secretarial matters. Responsibilities include: • Preparation of financial statements under FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105. • Preparation and filing of Corporation Tax (CT1) and Income Tax (Form 11) returns through ROS. • Preparation of VAT, RCT and PAYE returns as required. • Assisting on Company Secretarial matters — annual returns (B1), director changes and CRO filings. • Day-to-day client liaison, supporting partners and senior staff on assignment delivery. • 39 hours per week. CANDIDATE PROFILE • Graduate, ideally with a degree in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline. Strong candidates from other backgrounds will be considered. • Committed to commencing or continuing the ACCA qualification. • Strong attention to detail, numeracy and written communication. • Self-motivated, organised and able to work to deadlines.
