Job SummaryYou will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining security of special access programs and sensitive activities including specialized procedures and practices for the protection of communications, information systems, and operations; 2) inspecting facilities to ensure continued compliance of security policy standards and requirements; 3) conducting security analysis of a program(s) and recommending improvements and corrective measures to upgrade security administration, procedures and processes; and 4) preparing reports of investigation including recommendations for disciplinary actions. Additional Information: This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.

Major DutiesYou will provide security guidance and support to United States Marine Corps activities and contractors.You will liaise with participating industrial and government activities relating to the full range of security matters.You will establish focal points within each activity to provide consistent application of security procedures in accordance with U.S. Government policy.
