QualificationsMilitary Grades: ENLISTED AND WARRANT GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
Major DutiesAs a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (GS-2003-11), you will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program.
