Job SummaryYou will serve as a PARALEGAL SPECIALIST of NLSC.

QualificationsGS-11: To qualify as a GS-11, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience in the private or public sector must demonstrate: 1) efficient performance of paralegal duties in a busy, high-volume office setting; 2) ability to accurately process and manage case files, including records of trial, pleadings, court documents, attorney work product, client correspondence, and PII-protected material; and 3) provision of support to a large number of attorneys, including case review, tracking, and management in addition to fielding requests from a variety of inquiries. Major DutiesYou will receive and examine all incoming records and ensure case files contain required documents.You will file pleadings for the reserve branch comprised of multiple attorneys.You will draft brief overviews of findings, case type and case length for the Deputy to facilitate expeditious assignment of incoming appellate cases for appellate representation.You will provide paralegal support such as case review, case tracking, and case file management.You will draft motions and pleadings and conduct legal research.
