Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) allocating funds to individual activities/functional areas based on an analysis of activity budget estimates; 2) monitoring budget obligations utilizing automated systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); AND 3) evaluating the effect of cost and program changes on the budget execution process. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major DutiesProvide management with financial information such as financial reports showing the status of receipts, obligations and expenditures of funds within an organization.Review obligations, expenditures and reimbursable orders by examining accounting records, through continuing dialogue with program officials and by reviewing financial documents.Assist in developing budget policy and guidance, budget formulation, budget execution, and providing financial advisory services to the organization.Develop narrative justification statements and presentation material for budget submissions and reprogramming requests.Oversee budget and budget-related data using automated systems.Allocate funds based on an analysis of activity budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding to individual activities.
