To qualify at the GS-13 level you must meet one of the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Conducts investigation, enforcement, and compliance work related to antiboycott, restrictive trade practices, or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), evaluating evidentiary records for factual and legal sufficiency, and prepares investigative reports related to antiboycott regulations, or restrictive trade practices; and Evaluates documents to interpret violations of antiboycott, or restrictive trade practices and prepares written reports on findings regarding interstate and foreign commerce; and Coordinates with internal or external organizations to provide, acquire information and documents to pursue joint actions; and Provides technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders by interpreting regulatory policies, responding to inquiries, and advising other compliance specialists on investigative strategies and regulatory requirements
Major DutiesAs an Antiboycott Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Leads antiboycott investigations by independently identifying and developing investigative leads; analyzes legal and business relationships to determine compliance with U.S. antiboycott regulations and assess potential violations. Plans and execute advanced investigative activities involving persons and transactions of significant complexity; evaluate evidence for legal and factual sufficiency and determine appropriate enforcement actions. Prepares comprehensive case reports and enforcement recommendations, ensuring analytical, legal accuracy, and alignment with regulatory standards to support administrative or civil enforcement actions. Serves as a subject matter expert on antiboycott regulations, providing authoritative guidance to internal staff and external stakeholders; interprets regulatory requirements, advises on compliance strategies, and supports resolution of policy and case-related issues. Develops enforcement strategies and penalty recommendations, including analysis of respondent financial conditions; supports Administrative Case Review Board (ACRB) actions and participates in settlement negotiations within established parameters.
