Job SummaryThis position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), St. Louis Division. This position(s) primary purpose is to provide overall planning and administration of programs, oversight and leadership to the General Services Unit (GSU) in support of Division leadership

Applicants applying for the GS-12 must meet the following requirement: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising supervisors, customers, and team members on administrative and management matters regarding policies, procedures and regulations that impact the operation of a division or major office; 2) Managing day-to-day operations to support mission requirements; and, 3) Assisting in managing the business operations support activities and functions of an office and related to at least three of the following programs: Administrative Support Services, Human Resources Liaison, Fleet, Personal Property (accountable and non-accountable), Inspections and Internal Controls, Logistics, Task Force Officer (TFO) Management, Supply Management, and Records Management. Applicants applying for the GS-13 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising supervisors, customers, and team members on administrative and management matters regarding policies, procedures and regulations that impact the operation of a division or major office; 2) Executing priorities and business operations in order to meet short and long range deadlines; 3) Managing day-to-day operations to support mission requirements; and, 4) Managing the business operations support activities and functions of an office and related to at least five of the following programs: Administrative Support Services, Human Resources Liaison, Fleet, Personal Property (accountable and non-accountable), Inspections and Internal Controls, Logistics, Task Force Officer (TFO) Management, Supply Management, and Records Management. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Major DutiesAs a your typical work assignments may include: Trains or arranges for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects, provide or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of tasks. Provides advice and assistance to DEA Division employees in order to facilitate the processing of question and requests for; pay and leave, health benefits, retirement, and Workers' Compensation. Prepare Best Qualified List (BQL) packages to HR, and assists managers in completing vacancy checklists. Prepares documents of DEA vehicles to Division employees that are assigned one and develops recommendations to Division management concerning vehicle office assignment, rotations, and replacements. Oversees and coordinates workflow, serves as the source of information and point of contact within the District and Division Offices on business operations and administrative procedures.
