QualificationsTo qualify for the PPW (Security Room) KX-4401-03 position, applicants must meet the following Screen Out-Element: #1 - Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT ELEMENT below is not sufficient, you will not receive further consideration. In addition to the SCREENOUT, applicants must also have the ability to perform the following: Maintaining clean and safe work areas Preparing shipments, which include read instructions; wrapping, labeling, and sealing bands; and logging shipment details Packing, labeling, loading, stacking, and inspecting printed material Operating, inspecting, and performing routine maintenance on production machines, disintegrators and baler equipment Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement to be considered.

Major DutiesCleans and maintains a safe work area.Loads and unloads work on skids, table, machines, and/or trucks by hand, electric truck, or wheeled table; checks loads against delivery receipts.Packs for shipments.Read instructions; contact label makers; select cartons; wrap, label, and seal bands; count and number cartons; skid cartons; record information in log, write out sign packing slip; turns in slips with jackets and distribution list to check.Operates, inspects, and maintains disintegrator and baler equipment, making necessary repairs and adjustments.Operates production machines, including hand banding, automatic boxing, and automatic paper jogging equipment, to process materials.Inspects, uses gauges, and collates classified materials.
