A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Directly related work experience that includes any of the following: Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating a recreational program. 2. Demonstrated work experience must have been at a level that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for successful performance. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Experience with planning/executing Community-wide events. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Major DutiesManages a large Community Wide Events Program and two B.O.S.S. Programs that include a wide range of activities such as games, tournaments, and special/social events for a diverse patronage.Plans, schedules, organizes, implement, conducts and evaluates Community Wide Events and B.O.S.S. Programs.Maintains work requests, fixed asset reports, and inventory control on all property pertinent to operation of the facility.Responsible for purchasing and monitoring inventory of supplies and equipment.
