Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as a Police Officer conducting law enforcement duties and enforcing safety regulations on a major military installation to maintain order and protect life and property.

QualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes examples of demonstrating knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations; assisting with law enforcement operations, practices and techniques; gathering information and facts pertinent to an investigation; and/or maintaining order and protecting life and property.

Major DutiesComplete police accident reports, to include identifying, locating, and interviewing witnesses and/or suspects.Apprehend violators, obtain facts and prepare statements concerning accidents or violations.Maintain responsibility and control over crime/accident scenes by conducting investigations, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.Respond to and investigate emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service.Secure access to installation and building to protect personnel and property.
