Major DutiesFollowing the manufacturer’s specifications inserts license plate blanks into machine, assemble sand inserts the necessary dies for the letters and numbers required for the plate series produced and operates the stamping mechanism.Receives supplies and checks quantities received against request sheet(s); reporting over, short or damaged items. Signs for parts received. Stores parts in designated slots.Keeps supervisor informed on status of stock levels, indicating the types of supplies needing replenishment on the basis of observation of the rate of use.Adjusts and operates several different types of high-speed automatic and semiautomatic machines to manufacture of or a few similar kinds of items from sheet metal.May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
