About the Role

Two Postdoctoral Research Associate roles are available to join the laboratories of Dr Radu Zabet and Prof Silvia Marino on a 3-year Barts Charity funded project. The successful applicants will lead a project focused on leveraging exciting newly developed experimental tools, including novel CRISPR-dCas9 epigenetic screens and cerebral organoid co-culture systems applied to patient-derived tumour stem cells and matched iPSC-derived neural stem cells to develop new approaches for personalised prediction of drug responses in glioblastoma, a currently untreatable malignant tumour of the brain. The two labs have already successfully collaborated on several projects (including: PMID:35213723; PMID:39915814; PMID:40298030 and doi:10.1101/2024.08.14.607977), co-supervise three PhD students and have regular joint lab meetings.
