About the Position
*Kozak Ukrainian Restaurant* is hiring *two part-time Dishwashers* for our Gastown location at *1 W Cordova St, Vancouver, BC*.
This is an active, fast-paced restaurant role focused on keeping dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment clean, sanitized and ready for service.
Previous dishwashing, kitchen or cleaning experience is an asset but is not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works efficiently, follows instructions and is comfortable with repetitive physical work. Training on our procedures, equipment and sanitation standards will be provided.
Schedule and Availability
This is a *part-time evening position*.
Typical shift:
* *4:00 PM?12:00 AM*
Applicants must be available for a combination of *weekday and weekend evening shifts*. Statutory-holiday availability may also be required depending on the restaurant schedule.
Expected hours are approximately *15?25 hours per week*.
Responsibilities
* Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment * Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized and safe throughout the shift * Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely * Sort and return clean dishes and equipment to designated areas * Remove garbage, recycling and food waste as required * Clean floors, sinks, work surfaces and storage areas * Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties * Help keep kitchen supplies and equipment organized * Follow food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures * Report damaged equipment, shortages or safety concerns * Support the kitchen team with other basic duties when required
Requirements
* Availability for evening shifts from *4:00 PM?12:00 AM* * Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment * Reliable attendance and punctuality * Ability to follow instructions and sanitation procedures * Strong attention to cleanliness and organization * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks * Ability to stand for extended periods * Ability to safely lift, push and pull moderate weight when required, with reasonable accommodation * Willingness to learn and accept feedback
