About this role
The Tembo Support Intern will work under the supervision of the Tembo Strategic Support officer and lend ongoing support to several projects and administrative work where tasks have been assigned. This mainly includes but is not limited to initiatives such as developing and supporting the design and implementation of a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework. This position is primarily developmental and capacity-building in nature, offering hands-on experience within Tembo while supporting its commitment to learning and transparency. RESPONSIBILITIES Tembo MEAL (50%) Contribute to the development of Tembo’s MEAL framework to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, values, and programmatic needs. Support the design and documentation of monitoring systems, indicators, and tools to enable consistent tracking of activities, outputs, and outcomes in collaboration and under supervision of the Tembo Strategic Support Officer. Assist in establishing data collection and data management processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and usability of program data in collaboration with the Tembo Data Analyst. Contribute to the development of accountability and feedback mechanisms about user experience, with a specific focus on field users. Support the integration of learning practices and lessons learned to improve program quality and organizational performance within Tembo team. Prepare and support reporting on MEAL-related findings and processes to ensure clear communication to the Tembo team. Prepare reports and support the development of presentation materials for external stakeholders Coordinate with the Support Officer and relevant team members to ensure coherence and practical application of MEAL processes and reporting across Tembo. Tembo Support (50%) Contribute to the ongoing administrative support of governance processes responsibilities undertaken by the Tembo Strategic Support officer. Support the technical testing and quality review of learning courses to ensure functionality, accuracy, and a positive user experience prior to publication. Provide support for additional Tembo service-related tasks and activities as required.
