Our Hartlepool facility plays a key role in delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions to customers worldwide. Role Purpose The Buyer will play a key role in supporting procurement activities across selected categories, ensuring efficient supply, cost optimization, and supplier performance management within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories (e.g., spare parts, consumables, or indirect materials). Run RFQs/tenders, evaluate supplier offers, negotiate terms, and award contracts in line with company policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs. Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. Support the implementation of procurement strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms and service levels. Contribute to spend analysis and reporting, supporting data-driven decision-making. Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues proactively. Qualifications Up to 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field would be desirable. Experience with spare parts, consumables, or MRO categories will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM) and strong knowledge of MS Office. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Solid understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
