Position Description Prepares weldments for powder coat paint system by grinding, sanding or polishing imperfections from the welding or fabrication process. Job Responsibilities Inspects weldments for obvious defects such as but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges Grinds, sands or polishes weldments in preparation for powder coat painting Maintains a clean and orderly work environment Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Basic reading, writing and math skills Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education High School diploma Experience Requirements 1 year of experience preferred Physical & Environmental Requirements Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs) Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
