About the Team This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies. Your role includes engineering of functional safety in the development of ADAS systems. You represent these topics in your role both towards developers and towards the central organization units responsible for safety and quality. You can expect a challenging position in an international environment. What you can look forward to as a Functional Safety Engineer [f/m/d]: Identification of safety-related requirements arising from new and complex problem statements. Implementation of requirements including verification and validation, and continuous optimization of processes, methods, and tools. Creation of safety models and assessment of their feasibility, consolidation into an overall specification, and definition and approval of the overall safety specification. Generate safety related work products. This includes execution of cross-functional safety analyses (HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA). Coordination, management, and supervision of cross-functional development tasks, tests, and projects. Derivation of measures, definition of implementation and safety concepts, and final approval for productive deployment. Your profile as a Functional Safety Engineer [f/m/d]: Completed degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or computer science with at least 6 years of professional experience in functional safety development. Knowledge and experience in applying the standards ISO 26262 and ISO 21448. Strong analytical skills combined with a broad, cross-functional understanding of processes. High level of assertiveness with strong moderation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
