Closing date: Number of positions: 1 Recruiter name: Siva Krishna Bonda Reference number: 72468 Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital | Abu Dhabi | United Arab Emirates MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To draw blood from patients for various testing and donation purposes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Support overall laboratory services with specimen collection, receipt and preparation for analysis Support with relevant administrative and technical processes required for efficient laboratory operations Perform a variety of routine and complex blood collecting procedures in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements Prepare reagents used in the collection of specimens Provide relevant training and support to team members Support and guide the development of new techniques used for obtaining and handling laboratory specimens REQUIRED EDUCATION A Bachelor's degree in Science or Laboratory Medicine Technology Certified as a Phlebotomist from home country and/or country of residence Current Basic Life Support certificate REQUIRED EXPERIENCE At least 3 years' experience of which at least 2 years were as a Phlebotomist in an acute care hospital REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Governance and accreditation standards relevant to laboratory services Health Information systems Verbal and written communication skills in English All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given to the designated groups in accordance with the United Arab Emirates Emiratization Program.
