KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Drive business growth, strategy and development for the hospital Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, specifically doctors Manage and control hospital budgets/finances Manage client experience Manage patient safety Lead and manage the people in the hospital Manage and mitigate hospital risks Ensure continuous improvement of the overall quality of services delivered Facilitate the implementation of initiatives to integrate health service delivery across the continuum of care and support the region. REQUIRED EDUCATION ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field. DESIRED EDUCATION: Business management with subjects in finance REQUIRED EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Experience in a private healthcare environment DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in a private healthcare environment REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Healthcare industry Functions and processes within a private hospital environment, and how disciplines interact with each other Budgeting and financial planning/management principles Application of business metrics Governance and risk management Contract and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management Funders of Healthcare/Managed Healthcare Relevant legislative regulations Quality management principles Health and Safety principles Client Experience principles Knowledge of the clinical environment Demonstrates computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Knowledge of advances in Artificial Intelligence All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
