Fund Controller F/M - Private Debt Funds Reference: LU878383 Luxembourg EUR 85K - 90K per year Permanent Financial Services Our client, headquartered in the United Kingdom and with a growing presence in Luxembourg, is seeking a Fund Controller F/M to strengthen their Luxembourg office. Your Responsibilities • Build a deep understanding of private debt fund structures, including Limited Partnership Agreements, waterfalls, equalizations, and bespoke terms • Prepare and review quarterly financial reports in coordination with external administrators, including financial statements, NAV reconciliations, and capital account statements • Calculate and assess fund performance metrics such as IRR and carried interest • Manage fund cash flow using capital calls, RCFs, and credit facilities to maintain efficient liquidity • Oversee the accurate handling of complex fund activities such as hedging, excluded investors, and custom reporting requirements • Coordinate and review capital call and distribution notices across multiple feeder vehicles and currencies • Prepare and validate equalization and rebalancing calculations • Act as the main point of contact for fund administrators and tax advisors for allocated funds • Support investor relations by providing accurate and timely responses to investor inquiries • Contribute to the setup of new funds, including input into Limited Partnership Agreements and other fund documentation • Lead audits for assigned funds and review relevant tax deliverables such as K-1s and Luxembourg returns • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects, including data migration and system enhancements Your Profile • Chartered Accountant qualification (e.g. ACCA) or equivalent • Minimum 4 years of experience in fund accounting or controlling, with private debt or real estate funds experience. • Experience in Luxembourg required • Strong knowledge of fund operations, structures, and reporting standards • Proven ability to think critically and manage complex processes independently • Skilled in identifying and implementing process improvements • Hands-on, adaptable, and motivated by working in a growing and international setup • Fluent in English; French is a plus What's on Offer • A key role in a well-established firm with strong UK roots and a growing Luxembourg office • Opportunities for career progression in a dynamic and expanding environment • Recognition for your contribution within a human-sized team • A fair salary , including additional vacation days • Regular team-building events and a supportive corporate culture Please note: A valid EU work permit or citizenship is required for this position.
