Ecolab is seeking a FP&A Transformation Manager to lead the modernization of FP&A insights and reporting Globally by enabling scalable, interactive, and AI-enabled analytics.

What You Will Do: • This role is based in Pune, India (hybrid). You will partner across Finance, Technology, Data, and Analytics to transform how the business consumes FP&A insights—moving from static reporting to interactive, self-service, and AI-enabled decision support system
Where You’ll Make a Difference • Lead end-to-end transformation of FP&A dashboards—evolving static reporting into interactive, AI-enabled insights that support decision-making. • Standardization across region, FP&A reporting using standard Tools Technology stack • Partner with Technology, Data, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into scalable analytics products and AI-driven solutions. • Define, standardize, and govern finance logic, KPIs, and insight narratives embedded in dashboards to drive consistent outcomes. • Design intuitive self-service experiences (Copilot-like finance insights) that deliver fast, relevant, decision-ready information. • Serve as the finance approval authority for dashboard designs, analytics models, and automated insights—ensuring alignment to finance governance and business priorities. • Drive stakeholder adoption and value realization of analytics solutions across global finance and business partners. • Demonstrate ownership and accountability with a sustained focus on business impact, value creation, and continuous improvement.
Key Stakeholders & Operating Model • Partner with Divisional Finance leadership and FP&A teams to translate planning, forecasting, and performance needs into dashboard roadmaps and prioritized releases. • Work closely with Global BI / Data & Analytics teams (e.g., MAP 2.0 / FP&A datasets) to ensure scalable design, data quality, and performance. • Collaborate with Finance Systems and enterprise data/platform teams to align to governance, security access, refresh SLAs, and change management processes. • Engage with functional and adjacent finance partners (e.g., CP&A, Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Finance) to standardize KPIs and definitions across reporting suites.
Success Measures (First 6–12 Months) • Deliver a prioritized transformation roadmap and release cadence for NA FP&A dashboards (with clear scope, owners, milestones, and sign-offs). • Improve usability and stakeholder adoption of the reporting suite (measured through active users, repeat usage, and stakeholder feedback from UX sessions). • Strengthen trust in data and definitions by establishing standard KPI logic, tie-out routines, and governance documentation for key dashboards. • Reduce manual effort and cycle time for recurring FP&A insights (e.g., month-end and forecast cycles) through automation and self-serve analytics. • Launch at least 2–3 high-value enhancements (e.g., open orders / MTG projection views, daily movement “walks”, persona-based insight narratives) with measurable business impact.
What Makes You the Right Fit • 12–14+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, and/or Finance Transformation roles within complex or matrixed environments. • Proven experience leading dashboard, analytics, or reporting transformations, including modernization of FP&A insights. • Strong understanding of financial statements, performance management, and enterprise-level financial metrics. • Hands-on exposure to BI tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI or similar) and familiarity with AI-enabled reporting solutions. • Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights and storylines. • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse global audiences.
How Would You Stand Out? • Experience operating in a global or multi-regional context with an understanding of standard finance governance, access controls, and sign-off processes. • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align Finance, Technology, and business teams on priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery timelines. • Experience with modern data and BI stacks (e.g., Power BI, semantic models, SQL; familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure and/or Snowflake). • A product mindset—comfortable running discovery, defining personas and user journeys, and delivering iterative releases (Agile) with measurable outcomes.
Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field (MBA preferred). • Experience leading finance transformation programs, including process, reporting, and/or analytics modernization. • Proficiency applying automation and AI concepts to strengthen analytics capability (e.g., driver-based insights, forecasting enablement, narrative generation). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Tooling & Technical Preferences: • Strong Power BI capability (data modeling, DAX fundamentals, performance optimization, and dashboard UX best practices). • Data scientist having worked in Global Projects including FP&A transformation • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and pipelines (e.g., Azure services and/or Snowflake) and an understanding of refresh SLAs and data quality controls. • Understanding of security and governance concepts (role-based access, personas, finance definition control, change management, and production deployment discipline). • Understanding of AI products that can be scaled at an Enterprise level for FP&A Analytics
