***Sign-on Bonus*** Position Summary Provides direct nursing care to maternal and newborn patients in the Maternal Child Health setting. Assesses patient needs, develops and implements individualized plans of care, monitors maternal and fetal status, and responds appropriately to changes in clinical condition. Key Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to laboring, postpartum, gynecological, and newborn patients. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Monitor maternal and fetal status and document labor activity using approved NICHD terminology. Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor patient response. Assist physicians with procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, pain management, newborn care, and discharge needs. Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and complete required department competencies. Minimum Qualifications Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum two (2) years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required. Recent Mother-Baby/Newborn experience and clinical knowledge required. One (1) year or more of recent acute care experience required. Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferred. Successful completion of fetal monitoring education every two (2) years. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred. Basic computer and clinical documentation skills required.
