Job Description JOB TITLE IT Quality Assurance Analyst LEVEL/BAND MM20 DEPARTMENT Technology DIRECT REPORT (JOB TITLE) Scrum Master Overall Purpose of the Position To actively drive the Process and Tooling arm of the IT Quality Assurance function of the Bank, ensuring that all IT Deliverables are subject to rigorous assurance and testing cycles to certify product quality before it reaches our customers. Operational Responsibilities To carry out all assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, in adherence with internal policies and procedures. To contribute in the formulation of a QA strategy used by team. To plan and perform periodic system reviews to identify possible gaps and process inconsistencies and propose re-alignment strategies including the necessary training programmes. To design and implement test automation process improvements. IT Quality Assurance Function To perform the full range of tasks associated with the analysis, user acceptance testing, end-user training and post-implementation reviews of business related applications. Ensuring that the solutions are tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy and / or external systems. Together with the rest of the team, conduct post-mortem reviews on projects; defining, documenting and identifying gaps and improvements and inconsistencies. Document and drive the processes related to performing user acceptance testing and sign off. Automation Function Define and configure automated software tool/s to facilitate the software testing processes. Tools should encompass various automation cycles including regression, performance and load testing. To maintain the automation framework and the associated test scripts up to date, supporting our growing IT Application Inventory. General responsibilities To support the Scrum Master in setting the long and short-term strategy for the team and drive the delivery of that strategy against a set of time bound goals and deliverables. To build relationships and liaise with various stakeholders across the business to ensure cohesion and drive a collaborative work environment. To actively participate in the definition of an IT Governance framework and compliance. To perform any duties that may be assigned to him/her from line management from time to time. The candidate must also be willing to travel on occasion in order to attend training/conferences or manage supplier relations. Qualifications, Skills & Competencies Mandatory Skill Excellent communication skills (including written and oral) - able to relate to various members of the organisation; Extensive Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle; Customer Driven with an ability to prioritise issues based on impact. Experience Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines; Experience with setting up and maintaining defect tracking tools; Qualification A first/second degree in Software Engineering or a related field. Desirable Skill Ability to tackle simultaneous tasks. Experience Experience in the setup and maintenance of a test automation framework; Experience with setting up and maintaining defect tracking tools. Qualification Banking/ Accounting Qualification; ITIL Certified; ISEB/ISTQB Certified.
