*Position Summary:*
* Meet with clients, investigate claims, gather evidence, and formulate legal theories * Draft pleadings and motions, actively participate in questioning and mediation processes * Interview and depose witnesses * Prepare for trial and advocate at trial * Complete legal forms, prepare summaries, memos, and applications * Attend questionings, applications, mediations, and JDRs
*Who you are:*
* You are a *3-5-year bar call* lawyer with experience in the area of civil litigation (plaintiff or defense) * Called to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Alberta * License in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta * You have proven analytical skills utilizing your knowledge of the law for sound decision-making
*We are looking for you to bring the following skills to the team:*
* Excellent drafting and writing skills, ability to write about complex legal issues clearly and concise * Strong business acumen with problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills * Team player who is able to work effectively under pressure
