About this role
Our pharmacy is looking to fill the position of Pharmacist. We are a busy, independent pharmacy partnered with a family practice and walk in clinic.
We have excellent, well informed patients and an experience pharmacy assistant/technician team. We practice in a forward thinking manner that encourages modern pharmacy practice with pharmaceutical services such as MedsChecks, minor ailments prescribing, diabetic consults, etc.
We are currently looking for someone to join our team on a regularly once a week on Wednesdays or Fridays . There will be opportunity to pick up an additional shift from time to time during week on a casual basis. This is a good fit for pharmacists looking to maintain their license while working limited hours or for those looking to complement their existing part time work. Successful candidates could also pick up shifts on a casual basis as they are available in the future.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
(1) Experience as a pharmacist in community practice.
(2) Good verbal and written communication
(3) Flexibility in hours
(4) Able to work within a team
(5) Experience with blister/compliance packages, inventory management, and third party insurance claims
Our team includes a certified diabetes educator, an OCP certified preceptor for students and interns, and pharmacists who have worked in a variety of clinical settings. Our pharmacy uses Kroll paperless for dispensary software, and experience in Kroll is highly preferred.
